 Scheduler

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Makes independent and discretionary decisions in regard to developing a master schedule for a specific value stream, product class based upon MRP, level loading, inventory strategy, lot sizing, machine time etc
  • Determines inventory strategies for min/max using inventory advisor
  • Monitors capacity, level loads and adjusts plans as appropriate to an ever changing schedule.
  • Firms up plans according to the SOP horizons
  • Participates in SOP process and represents the master schedule for the appropriate value stream(s) and/or product classes and customers.
  • Participates with Customer Service in demand/ supply planning meetings as it relates to the appropriate value stream, product class or customer.
  • Other tasks/duties as assigned
  • Complete all activities in a timely, accurate, friendly, courteous, and efficient manner
  • Maintain a good working relationship with customers, office and warehouse personnel
  • Oversee all paperwork associated with work orders, outside processes and maintain the corresponding files
  • Effectively correspond with customers as required
  • Attend and participate in all monthly safety meetings
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by management
  • Abides by all rules and regulations as set forth in the employee handbook
  • Performs other duties/tasks as assigned
  • Does time studies and value stream mapping of machines and personnel
  • Handles tracking and documentation on R&D projects for future builds
  • Abide by all rules and regulations as set forth in the employee handbook
  • Perform other duties/tasks as assigned

Qualification requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of scheduling experience
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate staff
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent math skills
  • Computer literate
  • Warehouse, Inventory Control and Logistics knowledge
  • Experience in material planning, scheduling
  • Experience with MAS200 preferred
  • Solid planning and organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Forklift Certification required
  • Knowledge and understanding of Lean Manufacturing preferred
