International Sales Executive

SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, dependable; a self-starter responsible for the implementation of international sales strategies in order to achieve sustained profitable growth for ESL Power Systems, Inc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for balancing sales efforts and achieving international sales goals (revenue and growth) for ESL’s Power product line
  • Develop relationships with new and existing international customers. Identifies opportunities that will maximize future business activities for ESL Power Systems Inc.
  • With an understanding of the company’s core competencies, responsible for the effective planning and implementation of sales strategies to ensure achievement of budgeted sales and gross margin goals (including coordination of activities with distribution partners)
  • Create and maintain relationships with engineering consultants working on international projects. Provide all the required information to assist in specifying ESL solutions
  • Responsible for creating and delivering sales presentations and lunch and learn sessions for customers, prospects and engineering consultants
  • Participate in trade shows, qualifying leads, performing product demonstrations and following up with prospects
  • Utilization of GoldmineCRM/Word/Outlook computer programs to maintain accurate records of all sales calls and correspondence with customer/prospects, ensuring all communications meet the professional standards of our company
  • Communicate clearly with all ESL departments (i.e. management, estimating, engineering, shipping, production) to ensure that customer needs are understood and viable solutions are provided within the specified timeframe provided by the customer
  • Responsible for keeping management informed of issues that affect revenue and profitability (i.e. competition’s pricing, change orders, customer satisfaction issues)
  • Perform job quote estimations, price quote, preliminary purchase order review and internal and external follow up
  • Assist ESL Customer Service on technical and commercial issues
  • Perform all duties/tasks as assigned in a timely, accurate, friendly, courteous and efficient manner

WIRE PERSON

SUMMARY

Responsible for building custom control panels while under the general supervision of the Customs Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Read and understand wiring schematics and blueprints.
•Familiarity and ability to wire components such as relays, terminal blocks, pushbuttons, PLC’s and other electrical components.
•Use small hand tools, measuring tools and wire prepping tools.
•Responsible for reviewing, laying out and wiring control panels from wire diagrams, customer feedback and general notes.
•Ability to size wires for control and power circuits
•Responsible for reviewing work tickets, drawings and BOM’s to ensure accuracy.

WELDER

SUMMARY

Responsible for welding and fabrication of custom enclosures, raw material and proto-types, while under the general supervision of the production supervisor and department leads.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Weld variety of materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron and iron alloys.
• Develop welding projects by analyzing work orders, prints, and completed assembly; calculating requirements; studying metals; determining appropriate welding techniques.
• Verify welding results by inspecting and testing welds.
• Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
• Hardware insertion, pressing and welding (studs, pem-nuts etc.)
• Perform other duties/tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

SUMMARY

Responsible for setting up and operating grinding machines to grind external or internal cylindrical or tapered surfaces of metal work pieces to blueprint specifications by following tooling instructions and standard charts and applying knowledge of grinding procedures while under the general supervision of the machine shop supervisor and department leads. Handles drilling, de-burring, spot welding, and any misc. tasks required by sheet metal shop.

Research and Development Manager

SUMMARY

The Research and Development (R&D) Manager leads, implements, and assists in various phases of R&D to ensure that ESL Power Systems develops game-changing products to ensure that our company has a new product pipeline. The R&D Manager will conduct research through a variety of sources, including (but not limited to) formal and informal gathering of the voice of the customer (VOC), the internet, and other forms of market research. The R&D Manager will lead development efforts by creating cross functional teams, develop cost and resource estimates , estimate a return on investment (ROI), track projects by using the Stage Gate Process (SGP), and communicate progress to the Executive team and the VP of Engineering.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with the Executive Team, create an effective R&D Department at ESL Power Systems. This includes, but not limited to, establishing a cost/resource/time budget, and completing projects by using internal and external resources
  • Hire the R&D team as the department matures
  • Based on industry trends, develop new products by coordinating with our customers, internal business units, and conducting applicable research to meet the needs of the company’s target markets
  • Research, design and evaluate materials, assemblies, processes and equipment
  • Manage product testing and trials, assessing the materials used, the efficiency of the process, and the effectiveness of the final product
  • Work closely with the Engineering and Manufacturing Departments to ensure new designs can be manufactured in an efficient and cost effective manner
  • Suggest and/or conduct training to enhance employee performance and skill development to ensure quality & efficiency in new products
  • Establish and monitor project metrics (SGP), and communicate progress regularly to the Executive Team
  • Research regulations and outside agency requirements (UL, etc.) and coordinate approvals
  • Coordinate projects with the Marketing Department to insure optimum deployment of new products

  • Proven ability to bring new profitable products to market
  • Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing a huge plus
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or related certification/experience a plus
