November 2019: ESL demonstrated our Emergency Power products at Power-Gen International in New Orleans, LA. Even in a new location, Power-Gen continues to be the biggest show of the year for the power generation industry. Power-Gen provided ESL an opportunity to display our UL Listed Emergency Power connection solutions and meet with industry professionals from around the world. October 2019: ESL returned to TOC Americas annual exhibition in Cartagena, Colombia from October 28^th – 31^st. TOC brings together Shippers, Logistics Providers, Shipping Lines, 3PLs, Port Authorities, Terminal Operators and other key audiences to learn, debate and network. ESL’s President, Michael Hellmers and Director of Sales, Carlos Valero, participated in the show sharing information about our intermodal products and capabilities. August 2019: ESL Power Systems, Inc. has completed a transaction to become 100% employee-owned through its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Since its inception in the early 1990’s, ESL Power Systems has emerged as an innovative leader in the design and manufacturing of safety-interlocked electrical solutions. The Company has been owned and managed by Michael Hellmers and David Hellmers, with Douglas Roy, Carlos Valero, Pete Mehalechko, John Chaney, Jaime Hatzfeld, and Tom Zinchuk rounding out the management team.  Read more about our transition here.

 

 

Power U: As Utility Power Outages Rise, 3 Universities Keep Emergency Backup Costs Down

As centers of both education and community life, colleges and universities are challenged with meeting the needs of a diverse range of people and activities. From student housing and dining to classrooms and administrative offices, sports arenas and arts venues, medical facilities, and research labs, assuring reliable backup power in the event of an emergency or outage is of paramount concern. May 2019: ESL traveled to West Palm Beach, FL to exhibit at the 33rd Annual Governor’s Hurricane Conference. Our team returned to Florida to discuss the important issues facing the disaster planning and response industries. As usual, the conference was a must-attend event because of the focus on hurricane planning, preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation. The show was a great opportunity to display some of the many products that comprise our UL 1008 Listed and Seismic Certified Emergency Power product line.
