ESL offers refrigerated truck trailer shore power with the lowest cost of ownership in the industry using non-proprietary pin & sleeve connectors.

ESL’s eTRUconnect® V2 PS Series provides safe utility shore power to electric or hybrid refrigerated units on truck trailers with a smaller footprint, easier access and simplified operation.

Our PS Series TRU Docking Stations are UL/cUL Listed safety-interlocked power stations with branch circuit protection. The PS Series is supplied with the power cord and safety-interlocked connector permanently attached to the power station.

eTRUconnect V2 PS Series Features:

  • UL/cUL Listed connection sensing device embedded in ESL’s female connector prevents “making” or “breaking” electrical connection under load Connector can only be energized when properly mated to truck inlet High visibility LED Power “On” indicating lightReduced foot print (narrower enclosure)
  • Molded case circuit breaker provides overload and short circuit protection (various AIC ratings available)
  • Two “drive-off” features ensure safety and minimize equipment damage at the loading dock and at the truck
  • Durable type 3R powder-coated steel enclosure (stainless steel optional)

PS Series configurations include:

  • 30A 480VAC, 4-pin 3-wire pin & sleeve (standard IEC 60309 pin & sleeve female connector)
  • 50A 240VAC, 4-pin 3-wire pin & sleeve connector
  • Customized cord lengths (5’ to 70’)

PS Series Dual TRU Docking Station (Daisy-Chain Capable)

ESL offers the Dual eTRUconnect Power Station which is designed for truck yards where the eTRUconnect can be mounted to a pedestal kit or pole. This provides access to multiple docking locations while powering from a single unit. Optional power distribution blocks allow up to (2) two Dual eTRUconnect units to be daisy-chained from a single circuit.

Dual eTRUconnect Power Station

Dual TRU Docking Station Features:

  • UL Listed 2-gang power station with safety-interlocked module and custom length power cord
  • Actuator rod allows user to turn on/off and reset tripped breaker
  • UL Listed 30A 3P circuit breakers rated 35kAIC @ 480VAC provides short circuit & overcurrent protection to
    each connector
  • Each cord includes female connector with integral sensor to prove loop is complete before cord can be energized; system “trips” if proving loop is broken
  • Cords have break-away provisions enabling a technician to re-connect a cord after unintentional “drive-off” while still plugged in
  • Ultra-bright red LEDs indicate female connector is energized
  • Type 3R enclosure manufactured from 14GA seam-welded steel (powder-coated texture light green)
  • Power distribution block allows up to (2) eTRUconnect dual units to be daisy-chained from a single circuit (bottom conduit entry/exit only)

Dual Voltage Transformer Features:

  • 3-phase self contained, wall-mounted unit; safely connects 30A 480VAC or 30A 240VAC TRUs
  • Allows either 480VAC or 240VAC connector to be energized at one time
  • Connectors are safety-interlocked preventing making or breaking under load
  • Each connector is protected by a molded case circuit breaker
